![]() About three months have passed since my last blog entry, and for good reason. So much is happening around these parts! The biggest news is that I am gearing up to working with clients again, strictly in a consultation-type setting, and with a major shift in focus. In the past year, I've begun working with some incredible counselors, indigenous healers, and energy workers, and the way in which I approach my own health has evolved beautifully in response. It's rare if a day passes and I haven't touched a tarot deck or crystal, and when challenges arise, I've almost certainly got a sage wand and singing bowl at the ready. I've found that taking a few minutes to check in with myself and addressing my emotional response in times of stress has strengthened my immune system, regulated my sleep and digestion, and improved my overall mood substantially. The best part is--this type of self care is totally free and incredibly easy! With rising costs of medical bills and reduced insurance coverage, Americans need better solutions to our nation's healthcare crisis. I want to be a part of that change. My plan is to start with the basics, teaching as many people as possible about the power of emotional balancing and spiritual nourishment in relation to physical health. We'll see where it all goes from there, but with my nationwide tribe behind me, I'm pretty sure I can rock it. So far, I'm off to a good start. In four weeks' time, I developed the Health + Humanity Oracle Card Deck and wrote Health + Humanity: The Guidebook as a compilation of the many techniques I've found useful in my own emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness journey. Last month, I decided to shift what "clinical practice" looks like to me, and will soon begin offering consultations that include naturopathic counseling, Autonomic Response Testing, and eclectic stress management techniques. I am so excited by this new trajectory and, for the first time in a long time, I am in love with my job. Isn't it time that we took our wellbeing into our own hands? For me, that includes taking a major career step in a direction that feels more authentic and appropriate than ever before. I hope you'll join me in my quest to bring humanity, compassion, simplicity, and affordability back into healthcare. #healthandhumanity
